Heritage Holiday Kits

Announcing a series of Chinese Heritage Holiday kits for 2007. Try one, try a few or join the Year of the Pig program and receive all the 2007 kits.

Each Heritage Holiday kit contains:

• Exclusive illustrated storybook
  Each kit uses a children’s storybook as the unifying theme or center point for the activities and explorations. These books appeal to children, both pre-readers and readers, and provide a unique way to introduce the holiday theme.
• 52-Page Heritage Activity Guide
  Activities vary from kit to kit, but each kit contains four to six activities for you and your children. You may notice that most of the activities refer to the storybook and build on concepts or characters introduced in the story.
• Unique Activity Supplies
  Each kit includes hard-to-find supplies for some of the activities. We understand you are busy and don’t want to chase down obscure supplies in order to complete an activity. We provide supplies that cannot be easily located at local stores or that are not readily available in your home.
• HuiYi Pages
  HuiYi is Chinese for memories or to remember. Capture your family’s celebration and your children’s explorations with this easy and fun activity. We provide the pre-printed pages and you provide the memories.
• Folk Items
  Each kit includes at least one special folk item. The folk items are related to the activities in some way and will become a family keepsake. Kit activities vary, but cover many disciplines or topic areas including traditions and heritage, geography, arts and literature, food and history—all in a fun, family package.
  
• Program Guide and Overview
  For parents explaining kit contents, holiday schedule, suggested activity schedule, supplies list and additional resource information.
