“Releasing the Dragon” is the first of a series of watercolor illustrations Sarah Madsen painted for the children’s book The Dragon’s Gift.
In this painting, a young boy releases a Chinese water dragon he has surprisingly captured in his fishing net. The dragon later takes an interest in the boy and decides to help him solve a problem. This painting captures the fluid lines of the colorful dragon and the tenderness of the amazed boy. This painting transports children of all ages to a magical world where people and dragons meet.
This Fine Art Giclée reproduction print is 12” x 18” on Stylus Cold Press Watercolor paper at 110 lbs. The Giclée process uses the finest archival pigmented inks. The estimated life is 85 years before noticeable fading, changes in color balance and/or staining occur. As with any fine art piece, great care should be used when handling Giclée reproductions.
This Giclée has been printed in a limited edition of 250 with each signed and numbered by the artist. It comes with an artist's biograpy.
